Things to Come

This is the rough sketch for the computer room built-ins. Next year Andy will be building and installing shallow wall shelves and lower cabinets on either side of the window as well as a bench seat with rolling storage box! It is going to be awesome! The walls will be a light blue and the built-ins will be painted white.

Table for Six

My birthday gift from Andy this year was a new dining table. The plan of choice? Benchright Farmhouse Table from ana-white.com.

Making sure it would be a good fit; extended table frame.

The table top boards came from the barn out back! Solid oak.

Lots of wood filler evening it out.

But he didn't fill in everything. This table has character!

Close up of legs

View from the entry way. Shiny!

View from the hall. Guess what we had for dinner?

Close up of the pipe going across the bottom of the table. An interesting architectural element as well as an item of interest to small children.
