A New Look

We had an unexpected opportunity to buy a new living room set off my sister, so the living room has gotten a bit of a face lift this month. With the purchase of the new furniture Andy got inspired to build me that console table we'd talked about since we moved in, and now things are looking pretty fancy around here.

For the first time in our five years of marriage we have matching furniture! The whole room just looks nice and bright and put together. It definitely feels so nice walking in the front door to this every day! It's come a long way in two years! Sometimes I look at the rooms that haven't really been touched and think we are so far away from being "done" bringing the house up to date. Then I look at old pictures and realize just how far we've taken the place! When we moved in the kitchen lamp was exactly the same as the one on That 70s Show! Exactly! We had dark wood paneling and floral wallpaper everywhere!

My "contractor"

This month sometime Andy will get the tile off the walls and the vanity out. Hopefully by the end of March we will have a shower head, shower walls, board and batten on the walls, new tile, and a custom-crafted vanity and medicine cabinet. I am sooo ready for this one to be done! When it's done we will be able to de-blue the blue bathroom.
