The aluminum windows that came with the house had seen much better, less leaky days. Uncle Sam was nice enough to give us a bundle of our own cash back sans interest, so we decided to put it to good use. We called Window World and had them come out for an estimate on $189 windows for the whole house. Turns out it starts out at $189 without the energy efficient add-ons, disposal fees, panes... and in our case the hassle of dealing with lead paint (one of the MANY joys of buying a pre 1978 home)... and our entire tax return later we have new windows! It's looking like rain in the near future, so hopefully the waterfall is no more.
And the wood siding and posts look even worse in comparison, but we are loving the new sliding window.
Clear view of the mess that is the wood shop lean-to.
Front of house.
It really dresses up the place!
Guest room. We have yet to get blinds back up in two rooms, but oh well.
